Saving Challenge: Gimme Five!

By  |

I feel like I’m always trying to save money. Whether it’s for an upcoming trip, a new pair of running shoes or just to give myself a little cushion for the future, I constantly feel like I need to be saving up. But with bills, student loans, rent, credit card payments and living expenses, it feels like I’m never actually able to build my savings!

My newest saving strategy came straight from Pinterest and it’s so simple! All you have to do is save every $5 bill that comes into your possession. Yep, it’s that easy. I’ve been doing this for about a month and I already have $40 saved! Not bad for someone who rarely carries cash, huh?

Take the $5 bill challenge and let us know how much money you saved!

Great article. I have heard of saving every 5 dollar bill before. Perhaps I will join in with this challenge. I attended a seminar and the young lady asked that we all save our 5’s and put them in the freezer. She said we could call it COLD CASH!
